My art and poetry draws from my emotions and how I feel about my life, the people around me, places I visit, fears and insecurities, experiences, and inspirations.
Admittedly, I spent a lifetime building and expressing an image of myself of what I think people want to see while hiding my true feelings and thoughts, which I secretly expressed in my artwork.
I questioned whether to expose everything and lay it out there for all to see or allow people the opportunity to apply their thoughts, emotions, and stories about the art and myself.
I believe that art must be authentic, unfiltered, bare, and laid out there for all to see. Each painting carries its own vulnerable story... raw, exposed, and unapologetic.
